Talk Therapy is a way to connect to the deeper part of you that gets pushed aside from all the noise in daily life. Giving you the ability to re-connect to your dreams, goals and vitality. The therapeutic relationship is one in which you can fully be yourself with out judgment or ridicule. It is a place of refuge and healing through gentle feedback and guidance. An environment where you set the goals and pace for healing. Ultimately feeling empowered with a fresh perspective, awareness and the tools to confidently move forward with purpose and clarity.

TRE

Nurture your nervous system with Tension and Trauma Release Exercises. This somatic body based practice is for anyone suffering from stress, anxiety, trauma or PTSD. This therapy does not require talking about the traumatic event and instead taps into the body’s natural ability to release stress. I will guide you thru a series of 7 easy exercises and stretches to build up shaking in the lower muscles. This shaking is what enables the body to release the deep seated tension from trauma and life stress. Once you become comfortable with the process you can do it on your own at home at your leisure. TRE is used by first responders, the military, natural disaster survivors and those suffering from PTSD. However, this therapy is for anyone wanting to add another tool in their self care toolbox. EMDR

EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and re-processing) is a therapy that works directly with the brain to process thru the material from stressful and traumatic life events. EMDR helps the brain to reorganize and reprocess the stressful events so they do not keep looping which causes confusion, stress and a myriad of negative emotions. EMDR allows you to more easily let negative beliefs go and move into a space of clarity. Many clients tell me they feel calmer and more in control of their emotions instead of their emotions running them. For us to have enough time to fully reprocess the memory (s) that cause’s you distress, sessions are traditionally 90 minutes.
